The company's remit is to provide comprehensive advice and support to companies and institutions considering settling in Berlin, and carry out measures that promote the internationalization and export of the Berlin economy. These tasks are carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the state of Berlin's economic policies. They include in particular (a) Providing targeted advertising for Berlin as a business location in association with the region as well as information about local conditions and financial aid; (b) Identifying and attracting companies based outside Berlin; (c) Providing investment consultancy and support for companies moving to or based in Berlin in close cooperation with the Berlin Senate, business promotion agencies, chambers and associations; (d) Promoting cooperation between companies in Berlin and the region, creating links, producing information and collaborating with foreign authorities and companies; (e) Looking after foreign visitors from the worlds of business and politics insofar as this helps fulfil the aforementioned objectives; and (f) Supporting the Berlin Senate in foreign trade activities. Data are collected, processed and used to meet the aforementioned objectives.
